PLAYER SUPPORT
A little backup.
Something keeping you off the pitch? Let’s get you back in the game.
QUICK ANSWERS
Reporting a bug
Email support@tankgol.com with what you did, what happened and what you expected, plus your Player ID and device model. A screenshot or short screen recording helps a lot.
Where is my progress saved?
On our servers, in your TankGol account. The game creates the account automatically the first time you open it, and keeps a copy on your phone so it starts quickly.
Until you connect Apple or Google, the account can only be opened on this device. If you delete the game or lose the phone first, the progress is gone for good. Connect a sign-in to keep it safe (see below).
Uninstalling the game does not delete a guest account from our servers. If you want its data deleted, use Delete Account in Settings > Account before you uninstall.
Keep your progress: connect Apple or Google
Open Settings > Account and tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. Both work on iPhone and Android, and you can connect both as a backup. When a sign-in shows Connected, you can open your account on any phone.
We only store the ID Apple or Google gives us, never your email or password. A connected account is also needed to add friends, play friend matches, write profile text, report players in the game, send and receive gifts, create tournaments and play in the season tournament.
Moving to a new phone
First make sure your account is connected to Apple or Google on the old phone. On the new phone, install TankGol, open Settings > Account, choose the same sign-in and tap Switch. Your account replaces the new phone's fresh guest account (the two are not merged).
If the old account was never connected, it cannot be moved: nothing proves it is yours, so we cannot recover it for you.
My purchase did not arrive
Make sure you are online, then close the game completely and open it again: completed purchases that were not delivered are added to your account automatically when the game starts. If the diamonds still do not appear, email us with your Player ID and the order ID from Apple's receipt email or your Google Play order history.
Refunds
Purchases are handled by Apple or Google. On iPhone and iPad, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, see Google Play refunds. If a refund is approved, the diamonds from that purchase (and items bought with them) may be removed, as described in the Terms of Use.
How do I delete my account?
In the game, open Settings > Account > Delete Account, tick the box and confirm. Your account is frozen for 30 days and then deleted for good. Changed your mind? On the waiting screen, tick I want to restore my account. and tap RESTORE ACCOUNT before then.
No longer have the game? See our account deletion page to request it by email. Deleting does not refund purchases. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I report or block a player?
To report a player, open their profile (from Social, the leaderboard, your match history or a gift) and tap the report button, or tap … on their card in Social and choose REPORT. Pick a reason, add details if you like (up to 300 characters) and send. Reporting in the game needs a connected Apple or Google account. You can also email support@tankgol.com with their name or Player ID, what happened and when. We do not tell the player who reported them, unless the law requires it.
To block a player, tap … on their card in Social (a friend, a request or a search result) and choose BLOCK, or tap Block Player on their profile. Any account can block, and the player is not told. They can no longer send you friend requests, match requests or gifts. You can unblock them later in Settings > Blocked Players.
My account is suspended
The "Account suspended" message shows when the suspension ends (or that it is permanent) and, when we give one, the reason. Until then you cannot play online, use friends, gifts or tournaments, or buy diamonds, but you can still read your inbox, and unclaimed rewards wait for you. Warnings and name or profile text resets arrive in your inbox with the reason.
Think it’s a mistake? Email support@tankgol.com with your Player ID and a person will review it. The rules are in our Terms of Use.
Who can see when I’m online?
Choose in Settings > Privacy > Show Status: All (the default) shows it to your friends and to players you have sent a friend request to, while the request is pending; Friend shows it to friends only; No shows it to nobody. Other players never see it, and players who send you a request do not see it unless you become friends.
Your name, Player ID, flag, league and season statistics are public on the leaderboard, which anyone can view.
Does TankGol send notifications?
Yes, and you decide which ones. TankGol asks for permission only when you ask us to tell you about a league opponent: Notify me when found (after searching for 2 minutes) or Notify Me when you leave a league search. It never asks on first launch. We then tell you when players you could be matched with are in the queue, even if you leave the game (for up to 12 hours). On Android 12 and older, where the phone does not ask, notifications are on unless you turn them off in Settings > Notifications or in your phone settings.
With notifications allowed, you can also hear about friend match requests, tournament invitations, tournament matches about to start, gifts and rewards. Choose which ones in Settings > Notifications, or turn them all off in your phone’s settings. Everything is also in the in-game inbox, and notifications are never required to play or used for ads.
Playing a friend
Open Social, pick a friend who is online and tap MATCH REQUEST. They have 5 minutes to accept; keep TankGol open while you wait. A friend match costs each player 5 energy, gives no match rewards or league points (it still counts toward friend-match quests and achievements), and appears in both match histories as Friendly.
Tournaments and the season champion
Create your own tournament in Social: name it, pick the region and size (3 to 64 players), invite friends and start when at least 3 are in the lobby. It costs the host 50 energy, which comes back if fewer than 3 players join. Custom tournaments are for bragging rights: no prizes.
At the end of each season, the top 16 of the leaderboard play the season tournament, one round a day, at match times they pick in their inbox. The winner becomes the season champion, holds the Champion title until the next one and receives that season’s champion tank.
Sending and receiving gifts
Tap the gift box on a shop item, pick a friend or enter a Player ID, check the player card and send. You need a connected account and level 10, and you can send 3 gifts a day. Gifts can’t be returned or exchanged, so check the name before you pay. If the sender’s diamond purchase is refunded and their balance goes below zero, gifts they sent after that purchase can be taken back (see the Terms of Use).
Received gifts wait in your inbox until you tap CLAIM. Choose who can send you gifts in Settings > Privacy > Accept Gifts.
Watching a replay
Open your match history, or the History tab on any player’s profile, select a match and tap Watch Replay. Tap the field to show the controls: play or pause, and drag the time bar (or tap it) to jump forward or back, like a video. Replays are rebuilt from the players’ controls, so they take very little space, and we keep them for 30 days after the match. Replays of your own matches saved on your phone (your last 20) can still be watched after that. A replay recorded on an older version of the game can’t be played after an update.
The League is locked
Beat the Hard bot once: the League, daily, weekly and monthly quests open with it.
