This page is for TankGol, the mobile game by Mesut Duman on the App Store and Google Play. You can delete your account and its data at any time, for free.
- In the game: Settings > Account > Delete Account.
- No game? Email support@tankgol.com with your Player ID (starts with TG-, for example TG-7K4XQ2M; see Settings > Account, top right).
- Your account is frozen for 30 days so you can change your mind, then permanently deleted.
1. Delete in the game
- Open TankGol and go to Settings > Account.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the list of what will be deleted, tick I want to delete my account. and tap DELETE ACCOUNT.
Your account is frozen right away. The game shows a waiting screen with the number of days left, and 30 days later the account is permanently deleted. While it is frozen, it cannot play, buy, rename, join matchmaking, create or join tournaments, or claim rewards and gifts; it is hidden from the leaderboard, search and friend lists, and it cannot receive friend requests, match requests or gifts.
2. Changed your mind?
Open TankGol before the 30 days are up, tick I want to restore my account. and tap RESTORE ACCOUNT on the waiting screen. Everything comes back as it was. Signing in alone does not cancel the deletion; you need to tap the button.
- Connected to Apple or Google: you can restore on any phone. Install TankGol, open Settings > Account, choose the same sign-in and tap Switch.
- Guest account (never connected): only on the phone that created it, and not after you tap START NEW ACCOUNT or uninstall the game.
3. No game? Ask by email
If you cannot open the game, email support@tankgol.com with the subject "Delete my TankGol account" and include:
- your Player ID and player name (the ID starts with TG-, for example TG-7K4XQ2M or, on older accounts, TG-123456; see Settings > Account, top right);
- whether the account is connected to Apple, Google or neither;
- the phone model you played on;
- if you bought anything, the order ID from Apple's receipt email or your Google Play order history. It helps us confirm the account is yours.
Player IDs are public, so we check each request before acting. We reply within 30 days of receiving your request. If we can confirm the account is yours, we start the same 30-day deletion and reply with the date it will be permanently deleted. If you change your mind before then, email us again, or restore it in the game if it is connected to Apple or Google.
If we cannot confirm the account is yours (for example a guest account with no purchases), we may still start the deletion: if someone is still playing on that account, they see the waiting screen in the game and can restore it within 30 days. Otherwise we tell you why within 30 days and what else you can send. Guest accounts that were never connected to Apple or Google and have not been used for 12 months may be deleted; see our Privacy Policy.
Tip: if your account is connected to Apple or Google, the quickest way is to install TankGol, switch to your account in Settings > Account, and delete it in the game.
4. What is deleted
After 30 days, within about an hour, we permanently delete:
- your level, icon and flag; your name and Player ID are removed from your account, the leaderboard and search (for opponents' match history, see section 5);
- all gold, diamonds (including purchased ones) and energy;
- your tanks, balls, turrets, stadiums, icons and season tanks, which cannot be earned again;
- league rank, points and season rewards;
- statistics, achievements and match history;
- friends, friend requests and blocked players;
- quest, reward road and wheel progress;
- profile text and social usernames;
- your inbox, including unclaimed gifts and rewards;
- your push tokens, notification settings and any Notify me when found request;
- the replays of your bot matches;
- your tournament invitations, spectating and chosen match times;
- the details you wrote in reports, and names or texts we kept as evidence of moderation actions against you;
- the device identifier, platform and app version stored with your account;
- your Apple and Google sign-in connections and sign-in keys. If you used Sign in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke TankGol's access.
You can later use the same Apple or Google sign-in to start a new, empty account.
5. What is kept, and for how long
- A de-identified account entry: the internal account number, "Deleted Player" as the name, DEL-<number> as the ID, and the dates the account was created and deleted. Kept so match records stay consistent.
- Match records and match reports: scores, results and match summaries, linked to that internal number (so they are pseudonymous, not anonymous). Kept while needed for match history, leaderboards and fair-play or abuse investigations, and for at most 24 months after the match. Aggregated or anonymised statistics may be kept longer.
- Other players' match history: opponents keep a snapshot of your name, Player ID, flag, level, title and league from the time of each match, until it drops out of their last 100 matches, their account is deleted or 24 months have passed since the match, whichever comes first.
- Replays of online matches: your opponent can still watch the replay of a match you played together, with your former Player ID in it, and other players can watch it from your opponent's match history, where you appear as "Player" and the replay has no Player IDs. Replays are kept until 30 days after the match or until your opponent's account is deleted too.
- Tournaments: your place in brackets and results stays, shown as "Deleted Player". A tournament you created is renamed "Tournament" with its tournament ID.
- Gift records: gifts you sent or received stay in our gift ledger, shown as "Deleted Player" and without your country. Items you gave other players stay with them; gifts still waiting for you are cancelled.
- Purchase records: our purchase ledger and refund records (internal account number, store transaction ID, product, diamonds added, store and time), and RevenueCat's record, the service that confirms our purchases. They contain no name or email address and are kept while refunds, chargebacks or disputes are still possible, and as long as tax or accounting law requires. Apple and Google keep their own records under their own policies.
- Shop sales record: the shop items you bought with diamonds (item, diamonds paid, time, whether it was on the Featured shelf), linked only to the de-identified account entry, for shop statistics.
- Server backups: our hosting provider's automatic backups (snapshots) of our main server and our encrypted nightly database copies in the European Union. Each is kept for a limited period and then overwritten or deleted; your deleted account disappears from the backups as they expire. If we ever restore a backup, deletions requested after it was made are applied again.
- Server planning statistics: daily totals of match requests per country and server region, with no account number, Player ID, name or IP address. Deleting your account does not change them. For about the first five weeks the approximate player count could still be checked against an account with our secret key; after that it cannot. Kept for at most 13 months (see our Privacy Policy, section 8).
- Server logs: at most 30 days.
- Support emails: 2 years after the last message in the conversation.
- Moderation records: reports you sent or received, without the text you wrote or the names and texts saved in them, for 12 months after the case is closed; our log of actions, which never contains your text, for 2 years after they end.
More details are in our Privacy Policy.
6. Purchases
Deleting your account does not refund purchases, and they cannot be moved to another account. For refunds, contact Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (Google Play refunds) before you delete.
